Ganzorigt highlights magnetic cat-eye styles as an emerging trend to watch closely, noting their rise to fame since there are now multiple designs for such cat eyes—one such being Hailey Bieber’s cinnamon cat-eye manicure (see more details on that below).
As Alyssa Fronce of Alyssa Nail Tech notes, 2025 will see an abundance of high-shine neutrals with high shine that showcase glazed chrome like Sabrina Carpenter (more about this later), along with plenty of chromes and neutral hues (think espresso, nude and even her unique look of glazed chrome like Sabrina’s nails!). Nail art trends should follow suit with these predictions and embrace these characteristics more fully than in previous years.
Ganzorigt predicts we’ll also experience an upsurge in skin and cuticle care practices, particularly nail care and foot care routines. Nail, hand, and foot care has become more mainstream; even those who prefer not having polish on their nails often maintain these care regimens for themselves or post about it online. She sees many posting their handcare regimens online, too – her go-to recommendation being Amope’s PediMask 20-Minute Foot Mask as their preferred skin and cuticle care routine.
Speaking of skin, don’t overlook the growing popularity of BB cream nail designs with their soft, glowy finish and casual aesthetic.
Lavender Milk Nails
Lavender milk nails offer an appealing new take on the popular milk nail trend, creating an airbrushed manicure with minimal streaking that flatters all. Similar to blueberry and strawberry milk nails, lavender milk nails feature just the right balance of pastel hue and shine – and don’t forget their signature “plump skin that appears healthy without being oily,” per celebrity nail artist Elle Gerstein. Make sure that post manicure care includes moisturizing with quality hand cream for that “fresh-out-of-the-bathroom look.”
